What is Mission: Fort Mill?

In early 2009, many churches and individuals within Fort Mill, desiring to put hands and feet to their faith, had begun ministries all over Fort Mill to reach out to those in need.  There were food pantries, clothes closets and other outreaches beginning throughout the community. 

Several pastors and lay people began to meet and discuss the possibility of how much more effective these efforts might be, if churches and ministries were willing to reach across denominational and racial barriers, to lay down individual agendas and to work together to reach into our community with the love of Jesus Christ.

Mission: Fort Mill grew out of this common heart.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

Belle Vive Spa and Wellness Centre to Sponsor Food Drive for Fort Mill Care Center:

Belle Vive Spa and Wellness Centre will be hosting a food drive throughout the month of February to benefit the Fort Mill Care Center. All clients who bring along five or more non-perishable items on a visit to the spa in February will receive a 10% discount off of their entire bill. The food drive will end with an all-day grand finale at Belle Vive on Saturday, February 27th, 2010. Refreshments will be served, and drawings will be held for free services. In addition, clients who bring five non-perishable items on that day will receive a 15% discount off their total bill; not to be combined with any other discounts.

Christ Central Serving Meals Ministry (CCSMM) is a ministry committed to sharing the love of Christ
with some of the neediest in Fort Mill by cooking and serving a hot meal to as many as 150 people EVERY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. This is a wonderful opportunity for people to get their feet on the ground in a safe way. It is a great opportunity for teenagers and families to serve as well.

CCSMM has been serving in the Paradise Community for a long time now, but has recently begun serving in the Riverview Elementary area of town as well. There are a number of opportunities to cook or serve.
